Operations Day at the Park

HF, VHF, Digital - Sort of a Mini Field Day
We enjoyed a lovely day at the Acton Park on November 4. Operations Day is intended to help new operators get on the air and obtain practical experience in working contacts, radios, operations, antennas, and more. We had stations for HF, VHF, Winlink, QRP, and CW. Lunch was provided by the club and smash burgers were the fare for the day. The weather was awesome and our location on the North side of the park provided plenty of room and shade. We made several contacts on VHF, HF and CW including phone contacts on 10 meters. It's nice to see that band open.
